Apparently I didn't think I was busy enough with 3 kids, a hunk of a husband, a great faux finishing business, painting furniture for The Red Apron and trying to adopt. So I thought I would throw another branch into the fire and make baseball cuff bracelets to sell (insert insane, evil laugh here).
Plus, I think I am enjoying them because it is a SMALL, easily managed project that I can finish in an hour!!!
And when I say "I".....I really mean "the hubby and I".
He is the destroyer of the balls.
And, our kids like the insides.
In typical princess fashion..... I just get to work on the pretty stuff.
Each cuff is one of a kind.
Some of them are completely unique. Like this one which was a woman's broach from a thrift store. I only had one to sell, but about 10 requests for it. Darn the luck!
You know I did some with bling.
And some personalized.
And the cuffs wouldn't scream "me" if there weren't a few made with animal prints.
And this guy. Seriously.....
He is the cutest baseball cuff maker around.
He never tells me no to any of my hair brained ideas.
My Valentine....I love him!!!

(Coming up next.....a blog post on "the problem with adoption in the US" from MY point of view. But only IF I can write the post in love. And IF I can be objective. And IF I can get over the fact that I may ruffle some feathers and get some hate mail. Our country is messed up y'all. And instead of just complaining about the system, I am praying about what I can do about it??)
Until then, happy baseball cuff making!

I just emailed you about the cuffs! Wow, they are awesome ~
So sorry about the adoption problems. I honestly don't know any of the inside info about it but I do see way too many children in foster care...and being bounced from one to another. IMHO, they should be placed in a loving home and call it good!

Pat
love your bracelets.
I am not sure what you will say about the adoption system. But say it. I have to be honest and say I don't know much about it. But from people I know, it is messed up. To not let a child be adopted by good people because of the "red tape" and hoops they have to jump through is very sad. A child needs love, a family is there to give it...why not?!? But the goofs would rather just keep the child away from deserving loving families.
It makes no sense!!!
May God bless you in what you say!
I came here to check out your oh-so-clever-and-cute bracelets from road kill rescue but I' ve spent the last 15 minutes reading through your recent posts! And it's past my bedtime, but I really could keep reading. You write in a way that makes me want to keep reading:) good luck with your adoption...and I really do love those bracelets!

Love these- they're so cute!
I saw a baseball cuff project in Bead Unique Magazine a few years back and recently in Better Homes and Garden too, I think the artist was Lisa Kettell
Those are so awesome!!! I love how many variations you have and that all of them look really great! Thanks for sharing at Monday Funday!
