It's insane that a family that desperately wants a child has such a hard time getting one.

Peace to you.

Hugs to you.
I think the anticipation is going to make it all the sweeter when she comes.

Children listen to there heart without all the "details". See this as a sign from God. Children are much more faithful and free as us adults. Go with it and listen to your heart. She's out there and she's coming.

When my parents adopted me they knew they wanted a girl she got the nursery all ready even put my name up on the wall in preparation. They got the call the night before they got me. She was so thankful she had the nursery ready just waiting. She told me she went into the room and just prayed for me before she knew I was coming.

Blind faith, your a strong lesson right now. Enjoy these graces God has given you, you know without a doubt you want her.

I realized by the time I finished reading this, that I BELIEVED in my whole heart, with no doubts that your prayers will be answered. And soon.

The craziness, the tears, the love you already have, and the joy she will bring is all there for a reason. You will continue to be blessed.

I'm believing with you!!

Adoption is such a roller coaster, especially emotionally. We've adopted 4 kids internationally. I remember one time, on a walk, pouring my heart out to God and sobbing, Lord, I'll be ok as long as you promise me she will come home at the exact time that You want her to. And our child did, except she was a he. =) Hang in there. Hang on to God. Adoption is HARD but amazingly awesome. Keep praying and believing!

Jen, you brought me to tears, darn you! The way your kids (well, two of them) have already welcomed their sister into their hearts is beautiful, and is a testimony to your obedience as parents. Your choice of scriptures really ministered to me...thanks. I'm believing with you.

You asked God to do something, and I believe He is. Hang your hat on that. I'm praying for you and your family. Hugs and kisses!

First, you have a long, long time before you are gonna look like a grandma. Second, when you feel like you are faltering in your faith, lean on Ava or Noah, that is why we have families, to get us by when our faith seems lacking. Third, the McAtee family loves the Allwood family and pray for the day we get to love all 6 of you, together, under one roof.

In the meantime, we will pray for your baby girl's birth mom & that she can have peace with the major decision looming in her future. XOXO

Oh, hang in there. I believe God doesn't place a desire in our heart without a plan. The right baby will be there. Peace, Bev

At 29 I had cervical cancer & opted only for laser to preserve the possibility of having at least one child. We prayed for a viable pregnancy while we waited for an adopted child. We never adopted as we were blessed with 4 beautiful boys.My 2nd pregnancy was deemed by my physician a special needs child and "a burden to society, your first born will never forgive you." It tore at us but once we fully embraced all sides of this child we found so much joy in living in the hope, belief in love. Allow yourselves to feel this joy, hope and love in your family~don't waste the beauty of all of your hopes and dreams.

I really do not understand the process at all...it seems there are soooo many babies that need a loving family. I know God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform...and I know everything happens in His perfect timing. I will continue to pray for you and your family and BELIEVE that this baby girl will arrive very soon!

This month and next are always full of miracles ~ I believe you have one coming.

Jennifer: You are strong and can do this. So good that you are being honest with how you feel about this! I thought you might enjoy this blog. http://nodoubleyellowline.com/
The are worship leaders and have incredible music. They are in the adoption process too and have written music about their journey. Be encouraged my friend. I just walked this journey with my best friend and she and her husband now have 2 adopted children. It is a lonely road but you have lots of caring followers that love you!

Keep trusting my friend! Ruthie

Waiting is never easy, but believing is one powerful thing so don't quit. That baby girl is coming soon and I can't wait to read all about it.

Hugs and Prayers and Blessings. Keep fighting discouragement. Keep hoping. And you ARE closer. It's only a matter of time. You and your family are so precious. God knows who she is, but the timing has to be right for that baby too. Remember that SHE needs you to hold on and wait for her... she's not ready yet, but she is so blessed to have you waiting in the wings for her. Thank you for sharing your journey.

After reading your post, all I can say is that God knows what is best. And He is, has and will be with you always. He also never gives us more than we can handle. He tests the faithful, the just and the unjust. And remember...He tested David, the one He chose. So, if God tested David, I am pretty sure He is going to test me and you.
So, hang in there! God's hand and His plan are already in motion. We just need to sit back and find some patience.
We love you..and your family. And let your sweet Ava still believe in miracles. :)

We have been praying with your family on this wonderful ride you are on called "adoption". Praying for enough grace and patience to get thru each day. I love how raw and honest your children's faith is displayed. I could learn a thing or two from them.

Love the scripture in Romans! I am believing with you in full faith.
Hugs,
Jackie

Oh how I wish I could ease your pain! However, I cannot help but think that your children are faithful in their child like faith so that you keep yours... That you keep pushing forward. They know their family is not complete yet even though they have siblings and you are a family of five. I must admit, it is so much easier looking from the outside than feeling from the inside but I truly want to encourage you that you MUST push forward and in HIS time, He WILL make your family complete. Sending prayers to the big guy above for all of you.
God Bless,
Jennifer

Praying for you and your family--however many of you there might be!

Oh how bittersweet your post was to read. I agree with the other people who have commented. God does not promise us something, and then not follow through. It is just that is in His timing and not in ours - and that is so hard at times for us to accept. Dont give up, stay strong for your husband and for your children, as the mother/wife holds the heart of the home together. Thankyou for sharing your feelings, I wish I could give you a big HUG! My prayers are with you... dont give up! Hugs n Blessings from Sue in Oz xx

Many hugs and many prayers. We are also on the adoption journey with you. Ours is domestic also, but via foster care so any little ones will be a legal risk as they are placed with us. Our preference is an infant girl or sibling set - either sisters or a sister and brother. God knows our children and "He makes all things beautiful in His time"(Ecc. 3:11). Can't wait to read about the beautiful addition to your sweet family ~ all in due time. Patiently {and sometimes impatiently} waiting with you!

XO,
Kimberly

I totally agree with you. Adoption is not for the faint of heart. We have been waiting for a little over a year and went through a failed adoption and the wait is still really difficult. I agree with you that it seems like the more money a person has the quicker they are able to adopt. Like you, we don't have a ton of money to adopt quickly either. Praying God sends your little one to you soon.
